Jade Goody (June 5, 1981 – March 22, 2009) was an English reality TV star. She blew up on Big Brother series 3 in 2002, which got her own shows and products after leaving.
In January 2007, she entered Celebrity Big Brother 5 and got slammed for racially bullying Indian actress Shilpa Shetty. After eviction, she owned it and apologized publicly. By late 2007 and early 2008, polls showed most people hated her.
In August 2008, she joined India’s Bigg Boss but quit early when she found out she had cervical cancer. By February 2009, it spread and she was terminal. She married Jack Tweed, another Celebrity Big Brother housemate, on February 22, 2009, and died a month later on March 22 at age 27.
Sky Living aired five tribute shows about her life from 2009 to 2012, covering her childhood, fame, and final months. The last Big Brother episode on Channel 4 had a 15-minute tribute calling her the ultimate contestant. She was on the cover of News of the World’s final issue in July 2011.
