Phillipa Soo, born May 31, 1990, in Libertyville, Illinois, is an American actress and singer. She gained international recognition for originating the role of Eliza Schuyler Hamilton in the Broadway musical Hamilton. Soo has also appeared in stage productions like Amélie and Camelot, and acted in film and television projects including Over the Moon and Dopesick.
