  1. I have never seen this movie but it seems like a depressing movie and based on a couple of comments it is.

    Is it worth the watch (not withstanding this scene btw).

    91% Rotten Tomatoes…yup I’m going to watch it.

    Edit: Watched it and it was a great movie! Sad but not depressing.

    I can relate to Nic Cage’s alcoholism as I was doing something similar during the pandemic.

    Elizabeth Shue was great too as a flawed but understanding woman (it reminds me of my girl who loves the fuck out of me but wants/wanted me to changed).

  2. I watched that, respected the hell out of the filmmaking, and even agreed with the Oscars. I thought that kind of successful “emotional disaster movie” would be hard to replicate.

    … and then Aronofsky made Requiem for a Dream and that makes Leaving Las Vegas look like a Disney special.

  3. Think she’s very self conscious of her boobs sagginess. In every instance once seen of her showing them, she’s holding them more upright with an arm like this.
