Emayatzy Evett Corinealdi, born on January 14, 1980, in Fort Knox, Kentucky, is an American actress. She trained at the Actor’s Training Studio in New Jersey, the William Esper Studio in New York, and Playhouse West in Los Angeles. Her breakthrough came with the independent film Middle of Nowhere (2012), which earned her critical acclaim and awards. She has since appeared in films including Miles Ahead (2015), Hand of God (2015), The Red Line (2019), and Breaking (2022). On television, Corinealdi played lead roles in The Quad and the legal drama Reasonable Doubt. Her career spans both independent cinema and mainstream productions.
