I remember my father renting this movie when I was a kid and my mother freaking out when I wanted to watch it, saying I had to stop watching at a certain scene and leave the room. She wouldn’t tell me why, but was losing her shit over the possibility of me watching after whatever point she said to stop. I’m assuming she didn’t want me seeing that as a kid.
I never watched it at all, btw, because my mother eventually changed her mind and decided I wasn’t allowed to watch it at all.
I thought she was going to get nude again in The Puppet Masters but was sadly disappointed. Still a good movie though.

This is gonna sound bonkers, but I swear to God there are two versions of Doc Hollywood and for a time HBO ran a PG-13 version and an R-rated version after 10 PM. The R-rated version has Julie Warner coming out of the lake, full frontal nude.
I remember being confused when I first saw the listing for the R version that it couldn’t be right cuz it’s a PG-13 movie. I videotaped the R version but have long since lost the tape.
For a long time I figured it was a European version, much like the version of Untamed Heart that showed Marisa Tomei’s boobs and was never shown in US theaters.
