If you Google her talking about this this role, she mentions in a couple interviews how she was hesitant to take the part given the nudity and get religious family. She accepted the role and needed to break the news to her parents over there phone. When she did that, she was too evasive and phrased it as it being an HBO show and there was going to be nudity featured. Her mom is like “oh it’s HBO. No big deal. We gotta run” so Meg gets her folks back on the phone later that evening realizing they didn’t quite understand. After being more clear about it her mom goes “Wait YOU’RE the one going nude? Oh Rick, we can’t tell anybody else!” Lol They had just gotten back from church choir practice where they had made an announcement to the whole group including the pastor I think about their baby girl’s big break! Probably who had known Meg her whole life were going to get a glimpse of those titties!
