Meganne Young was born March 22, 1990 in Cape Town, South Africa. She’s a South African actress and director, raised by a South African dad and Australian mom. She grew up movin’ around – Nigeria, Switzerland, Sri Lanka – where she finished high school at the Overseas School of Colombo.

She studied actin’ in Cape Town before headin’ to London’s Guildford School of Acting. She got her start in theater and shorts, pickin’ up 48 Hour Film and Fleur du Cap Theatre Award nominations.
She broke out as Abigail Ashe in Black Sails (2014-2017). She played Rachel in The Kissing Booth (2018), reprisin’ the role in the sequels (2020, 2021). She’s also been in Eye in the Sky (2015), Supernatural (2014), DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (2017), Bluestone 42 (2013), Zum Teufel mit der Wahrheit (2013), Saints & Strangers (2015), We Are Not Alone (2015), The Bull (2019), and The Kissing Booth franchise.
